Sitting in gratitude this weekend as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday. It was a wonderful week at the beach with family, and having the chance to sit by the sea and watch the waves crash onto the shoreline hit a little differently this year.
I think the older you get, the more grateful you become for the little things. Taking a walk on the beach with my son while he shared sports stats and told me all about sand fleas, being there as my daughter excitedly got her first henna tattoo on the boardwalk, and helping my two littles dig what they insisted would be the biggest sand hole on the beach. It was equal parts fun and exhausting! But those are the moments that matter most.
Each moment, each day, each sunrise, and each sunset is a gift. We live in a beautiful country filled with opportunities to build a life that reflects your dreams, your values, and your purpose. It isn’t always easy, and it certainly isn’t perfect, but the freedom to pursue that life is something I never want to take for granted.
As we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s story, I’m especially thankful for faith, family, freedom, and the simple moments that remind us what truly matters.
Happy 250th, America! πΊπΈβ€οΈπ€π
