Me, the artist.

One of the most challenging things to hold onto is my view of myself as an artist…a mover. From a very young age, movement has been my outlet, my narrative, and my craft. It’s where I feel free from expectations and life’s stressors, and where I feel connected to the universe, to God, my inner child, and the energy that holds us all together. Almost 40 years of movement, and it is still the gift that keeps on giving.

Growing older into my artistry has challenged me to explore what my movement expresses and how it reflects who I am today. I create from intention and emotion first…then music and movement. I’m proud of the vulnerability and courage it takes to keep sharing my work.

I may not move the same way I did 20 years ago, but embracing that change has opened new doors of creativity. Having the honor of dancing and performing again this past year healed my artistic insecurity in ways I never imagined. I know there is so much more to come, so long as I’m able.

Find that thing that makes you YOU and never let it go!

Proud of the artist I am, I was, and will always continue to be. ❤
